Ready for a challenge?
Join our team!
If you’re the kind of person that likes to work hard and take pride in a great result, you could be just what we’re looking for to expand our on-site team.
In return for your efforts, we can guarantee a highly varied range of experiences across our three brands (see https://outsideology.com/ and https://kani.house and https://verandabros.co.uk) – our teams work across a wide range of disciplines from groundworks and landscaping to carpentry, joinery, decorating, electrical and plumbing, roofing, and even window-fitting!
Naturally, we’ll also provide First Aid training, a health & safety induction, a full set of PPE & branded workwear. You’ll need to have a full clean driving license and your own car or van.
A few words on diversity: we are very proudly an equal opportunities employer and we’re actively working to improve diversity within the trades. As such we welcome applications from everyone – no matter your gender, race or sexual orientation, you’ll be welcome here.
We’re also champions of workplace flexibility: we’re happy to work around commitments to study or caring, school pickups, etc., and we’re not restricted to the kind of early-morning-to-mid-afternoon hours most builders keep… it’s much more about getting the job done!
If you think any of the jobs below would suit you, why not get onto us right away! Just email a few paragraphs about yourself, and a copy of your CV to mail@outsideology.com
Current Opportunities
General labourer – immediate start available
We’re urgently looking for additional general labourers to join our team. It’s hard work – so this isn’t a job for the faint-hearted – but in addition to a few aches and pains and a sense of great satisfaction, you’ll get some fantastic experience of all aspects of our work.
No specific experience is needed, but you’ll need to be fit and strong enough to carry big and heavy materials, and you’ll need the motivation to get stuck in and get the job done, indoors our outdoors, come rain or shine.
We’re proud to say many of our labourers have moved on to more specialist roles or apprenticeships within the trade – this is a great place to get experience and hone your skills.
Pay starting at £80 / day based on an 8-hour day, flexible hours from 24 to 40 per week dependent on workload and your own commitments.

Landscaper & ground worker
You should have at least two years’ experience of (or have college qualifications in) garden construction work, to include paving, brickwork, walling & fencing, decking, earthworks and drainage, structural timber work and machine handling.
Above all you must love working outdoors, be enthusiastic about gardens and plants, take pride in doing a great job and have a good rapport with customers.
Hours as required, pay subject to experience.

Semi-skilled trades
If you’ve got a bit of experience or a qualification in any of the following – carpentry, joinery, electrical, roofing, decorating, dry-lining, plumbing or plastering, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for people who are ready to step up with training to become one of our site team leaders. The broader your experience the better, because we work in small teams and everyone has several roles… this is not a job for specialists, but ideal for people who can see a problem and work out solutions to fix it.
Hours as required, pay subject to experience.
